the car
the swap
the engine

certainly not as glamorous as an E36 M3 engine swap, but ~190hp in an E30 worked pretty well for the original M3; with a torquier six providing the same amount of peak horsepower, a bit of weight reduction to counter the heavier engine up front, and a lower final drive and limited-slip in the rear diff, this could be one of the cheaper/better project ideas i've had; i yearn for something rear-wheel-drive again.

for that sort of money, buy my e30 m3 - it's being cranky right now and i'd let it go for a decent price so long as you get me all the money in six months or so

Re: bah

haha- i know as well as you do that a cranky m3 is an expensive proposition ;)

but if by "that sort of money" you mean, oh, about three grand (as compared to above- $800 car, $1500 engine, misc other shit)... done =)

in all seriousness, argh. i wish i could afford your car, even over six months.
