The geolocating of equipement isn't that new. But it doesn't surprise me that they patented it. It's also why I tend to turn of ping on most things.

Preferably you setup mutiple VPM layers and have ping turned off on all the network entrances. Then you can basically go into your own virtual WLAN and then exit it where needed. The mixed traffic patters make it really difficult for people to figure out where the originator is.
