so apparently the golf is totaled.

while this must suck immeasurably for louise, it's a hell of a load off of my mind.

just need to get louise's mom's insurance to pay up before the 15th, and then the loan is gone.

man, my record of keeping cars i've bought through this credit union is now 2 for 4. that's pretty shitty.

i don't know what the fuck to make of any of this. life is so goddamned nuts.

edited to add: it's about 15 minutes later and i've realized *exactly* what to make of this. once that car's paid off, i'll have $15,000 less debt.

do you know what this means?

i'll tell you *exactly* what it means.

it means my GTI-VR6 is about to be traded in on a brand-new Double-u Are motherfucking X.

now the only question is, to go with the sedan for the looks or the wagon for the carrying capacity (and the entertainment value of modifying it and whipping ass on camaros in an import station wagon).

opinions accepted =)

It sucks less now that ...

It sucks less now that I'm on vaguely decent terms with you, rather than last week.

And whatever, I'll get another car. Life will go on. I know that you put alot of financial, emotional, and personal stock in the kind of car you drive and what condition its in. And while you may have imparted a large portion of car modification knowledge upon me in the three years we were together, I'm still of the opinion that its just a machine.

If my mother had died in the car accident, then I would be sad. I saw the pictures. Not as bad as the GTI, but not pretty either.

Re: It sucks less now that ...

Oh yea, and the sedan. If you drive a modified Scooby wagon, it'll just look like you've got a dad who's a car nut. Or a wife who tolerates playing you playing in the garage.

I'd want to avoid both of those stereotypes. :P

Re: It sucks less now that ...

yeah, i'm glad she's ok too. i guess vw's really are pretty safe cars, aren't they...

just remember what i said. i'm still stuck in one car loan, but you don't have to be... *try* and save up and pay cash for your car if you can. i wish i had, on some levels.

(& sorry about the block, forgot i had it there.)

Re: It sucks less now that ...

Heh. You could call them that. :P

Why not save up 5 or 10k and put that towards the trade in on the WRX?

And don't sweat the block. I don't even know how much I plan on reading here. I didn't add you to my friends list on purpose, even though we're on betterish terms.

You're finally getting the Impreza! Good for you. I think you should not go for capacity, go for looks, I know you, you'll make it run like a dream. Good luck!

I say get the coupe - the only way i'd get a wagon is if it was a second car or something, you know? just my thoughts...

dude, y'all are tripping...

go and look @ the Impreza wagon. the subaru wagons don't look like station wagons, they look like big coupes, kinda. additionally, the storage space would be a major boon - you could move your bed and sofa by yourself, and carry tons of audio equipment, and, you can put the back seat down and fuck in it.
