Mood: calmcalm
so there's been a big international auto show in geneva this week.

pininfarina birdcage. 700hp v12, in a body that'd make me stop looking at females. plus an instrument panel copy-and-pasted from star trek: the next generation.

ferrari f430 spyder

aston martin vantage

ferrari scaglietti

lancia stratos redux

the new civic. i'm beginning to think this model line is like a social experiment in "how fucking ugly of a car can we foist upon the world and still sell millions of units", a la vw thing, because it gets worse every time.

i've decided that when i get another pet, it will be one of those hairless sphinx cats, and he will be named Keymaux.

The Pininfarina is orgasmic.

yeah, but i thought that's what made it cute. besides, i had to throw in something everyman-accessible :P

you sure? it's mid-engined, not much margin for error there ;)

No room for error... just the way I like it! Heh, it's so tits it hurts. I don't even like exotics either. Horray for the Lancia. It's a little big for my tastes tho... I really want a Suzuki Cappuccino.

haha yes- because by then i am guessing that all performance cars will be equipped with total computer control of each wheel, and an active suspension that keeps each tire in optimum contact patch at all times, and can be tuned directly to your driving preferences :D

man, i hope not.

on the fly, i'd much rather think about just the physics of driving, rather than "what the computer thinks is right and how i might compensate for it".

i may indeed end up driving '95 and older for the rest of my life...

hmmm- see that's kinda the thing that i was talking about- i don't want to "think" about anything-
yeah i know the physics of driving to a level that i can think about what each wheel is doing at any given time- but i dont want to-
i want to reach that zen level where my thought is the car's movement-
and with electronic control over all that, and custom programming, it can be tuned to exactly how i want

oh as an aside- in GT4 land- yes, my M3 csl is the best driving car I have, but my R34 skyline has been set up to the point where it's not far behind-
definitely not a "slide in to the corner and then figure out the exit" kind of awd car :)

heh- well my r32 is a little better than my evo, but not much... care to share suspension settings? i'm running sport-soft in the front and sport-medium in the back just to get the damn thing to rotate right now.

you're driving a rwd r32?

ugh- sport tires-
jesus lord- i cant even drive on those anymore-
the r5 tires are like glue- and switching back to the sports just brings tears to my eyes :P

suspension settings are what you can imagine- slammed and stiff with the rear swaybar pushing the ass around on accelleration

I'm definitely loving the f430 spyder and the aston martin. Oh to have that kind of money!
