good christ, i should look at the calendar more carefully.

i let myself get stressed because i thought i had a few days left to finish a contract i've actually got another week and a half on.

this gives me, most importantly, another weekend in which to hole up in my room and figure out how to conjure a working sql database out of a bunch of flat text files... argh.

there's a state of mind i've found myself returning to, and i'm not happy to be back there. i need to keep myself properly fed, low blood sugar's a bitch.

i've added a few tracks from chicago techno artist sinuous to the radio station. there are a few mix sets you can download at his page as well- worth a listen if you're a tekhead.

oh, and finally- never say never.

you know what i miss?
half-notes that sound like sixteenths.
eerie wails and pulses that simply don't have a natural equivalent.
putting your mind to work on what sounds like a complete randomization of beats to find the "pattern", and then adding in the task of making your body dance to it in a passable manner.
breaks that don't make you wait fucking forever for the bass to start in again, but whang you in the side of the head with it when you're not expecting it.

i need an ID (to replace the one i lost... i'm 23, piss off) so i can at least get my ass down to the cactus sometime.
