musiciansfriend.com does not get my thumbs-up.

i ordered a pair of slipmats- plain black felt slipmats- from them two weeks ago.

they're apparently out of stock on black felt slipmats, but they went ahead and charged my card immediately, without letting me know.

i mean, order status notification is a good thing, right...?

*sigh*

i really wanted to buy this.

i *could* have afforded it, but not that and what little xmas presents i can still afford to pick up for my family.

had i bought it and dropped it in the mr2, i could have sold the thing for $1500- however, there's no way i'd execute all that by xmas.

ain't that a bitch?

blah. my favorite liquor store across the freeway was closed when i got there at quarter past 8 this morning... & the nazi turdlet troll-lady at the nearby 7-11 refused to believe i'm not over 17... need nicotine, damnit. gonna go try again...

have decided the route i'm gonna go with the MR2 is the 1.8-liter 7AFE shortblock from a later corolla/celica. the bottom end of the engine is the only part that needs replacing, and i can think of few mods as effective as an extra two-tenths of a liter. an article here indicates this should be doable without too much drama.

now i've just gotta see where i can find one the cheapest. i want to get these cars running and sold, damnit.

ok, off ISO nicotine.

i need to get more sleep. i can't even manage to set up a fucking pop account correctly right now.

heh- my day just got a lot better. boss took us all to speedring kart racing. my first time going, and i set the lap record among my co-workers; 33.865 seconds. (ahead of my boss by less than two tenths, and he's done skip barber, so i'm satisfied with that.)

whoo. dude. motivation back. i need to go kart racing more often.
