hi, new people. thanks.

jesus, the last time i had a hangover must have been 3 or 4 years ago... took winamp 5 minutes of shuffling through my downtempo/hiphop folder to find something gentle enough for my ears at the moment.

always nice to break from routine and meet new kids, though. such a big world and i spend 95% of my time in it behind my desk, on my couch, or in my car... unfortunately, the cute redhead with the penchant for orson scott card... taken. *slightly curls upper lip*

left yuba on friday just in time to catch the bay area's yearly mini-monsoon... the entire drive. yeah, i'm a spoiled california boy, but that sucked. driving a light car in high winds == not my friend.

uhnf... not in a mental state to come up with anything more meaningful than this. i want another weekend-long vacation, i don't care if the last one was only a month and a half ago... tahoe rocked, and i find myself wanting for more places-i-haven't-been.

oh yeah... two parts generic strawberry soda into one part smirnoff apple twist vodka. recommended.

my parents rented a saturn after my dad got hit by two college girls.

ergonomically, it's a piece of shit. sills too high, doors too low. entry and exit feel like a lotus elise. it's hard to see around the cowl - and the headliner still bumps me in all my shortness. the transmission skips.

yeah. that felt good.

last night while I was doing 80 in the downpour I was thinking... I wonder how the GTi is now that it has bigger wheels and better rubber? Guess that answers my question. The Corrado is just like the Jetta in the rain for the most part. Breaking sucks ass though since something is jacked with it. The front right locks up very easily. I don't know why this is, but it doesn't make for safe driving at times. The whole car just starts skidding. It's like the breaks are too damn good for it's own good. Funny that it has ABS supposedly but I have yet to see the ABS do anything... fucking cars.

it's definitely better, but there's only so much they can do against a 60mph crosswind... the failing brake booster *really* starts to show itself when the pads/rotors are wet though.

i never had any problems getting the ABS on my yellow VR6 to activate, but i hated the noise it made and the feedback it gave through the pedal, so i learned to brake at its threshold. maybe you're just doing that?

I don't want to hear you bitch about the weather ever. I spent four days and three nights driving through snow, ice, moose, the Rocky Mountains, wind, rain, cariboo, buffalo, tourists in RV's, and Canadians between Alaska and Seattle. I hate cars.

Also, you've never been to Seattle. Its great here. :)
