Generation Y's Howard Beale

i recently realized how much good cinema my namesake's homeland is responsible for.

sure, you've seen this. possibly you followed through and saw the director's first work as well. if you haven't seen this yet, it contains a few familiar actors and does an excellent job of rounding out what has to be the best unofficial trilogy i've ever seen.

i'd list a few more, but they fail to come to mind at the moment and perhaps imdb is deserving of some harsh words for listing these films under the umbrella of a "UK" country of origin. *glower*

so if you too are enamored with the harsh honesty of scottish cinema, add it to your list of interests (i can't make a link for it until someone else lists it), and respond with any suggestions i haven't mentioned. share the wealth, yo.
