Mood: a little sad
pavarotti will be missed, but i am pouring out a bit of my 40 for madeleine l'engle, because i loved the wrinkle in time series as a kid.

Fuck yes. That was so the first time any of us were introduced to the concept of "why go from one point all the way to another when you can bring the two points together. Like folding a piece of cloth."

How many sci-fi films have we watched since with the same concept? I know each time I hear it said I think back to that book. Not saying she's the one that came up with it, but she's responsible for first putting the notion into my head at a very young age.

One of the more recent examples of the folding concept as she put it was used in Event Horizon only it was a pinup and a pencil used to demonstrate a ship passing through the 2 points.

yo jason, its migs and I finally made it to san francisco/oakland/berkley area and Ive been here for over a month and I leave for seattle manyarrow after which i'll be headed to portland. I cant believe you lasted this long in az. seriously the bay area is so much more awesome!
