We have a few of those over here on campus (did I ever tell you that I am living in the UK now?). As well as a few alfas, a mercedes or two, that sort of thing. Its funny, a bmw and its ilk are considered a midrange car, about the same as a toyota camry in the states.

Oh yeah, saw the worlds only McClaren dealership a few weekends back, its in the very very ritzy section london, actually right near the ritz. It was painful to see those cars just sitting around.

Finished watching intial D (the movie, both seasons, extra and battle stages) before I left the states too.

So what happaned to your old car?

and the sad thing is that the euro versions are so much better-equipped...

hey hey. it's not a convertible... give me some credit.

seriously, i bought this car via process of elimination-

i decided i wanted something with a six again, and it had to be an imported rear-wheel-drive coupe, and reasonably modern (>15yrs)- that pretty much narrowed it down to six-cylinder bmw, 300zx, or supra.

the toyota has a good 300lb weight penalty over either of the other two- so it's out. left with later-bodystyle ('89-91) E30 or early Z32, it's pretty much a choice of whether i wanted more displacement and twin-cam 4-valve heads for another 200lbs of weight-

i decided i didn't when i talked the dealership out of this bmw for $1400 less than the asking price of the cheapest Z i found.

it has the solid feel, power, and the few minimal luxury features of my old VR6's, w/ a curb weight under 3000lbs, and it's rear-wheel-drive. exactly what i was looking for.

so i really don't need to defend myself. :)

But you just did. =)

besides... I was just pushing your buttons and really don't care that you got a 325is. It's good you got the *is* because you gots yourself a limited slip rear differential which the non-s models don't have. Oh and my old coworker at aftermarket had one all suped up. that car was nuts. Ran momo superlights with yokohama avs and did all sorts of engine and suspension work. looked nice.

Yeah, rear wheel drive is all fine and dandy until you move to a state that has a little something called "seasons" and snow. And then good luck!

i have actually driven RWD in snow/slush. (in-state, even. it's not *all* one big beach.) i don't look forward to doing it in this car, though.
littering and???
