i think that one of the things i am really not willing to tolerate of anyone is hypocrisy.
i don't think i ask much of anyone lately-
but if you ask something of *me*, don't be indignant if i expect it in return.
if you're unable, i'll handle it in a manner of my choice.
if that's not fair, explain why, instead of responding in a fashion that you know would bother the living shit out of you, were the situation reversed.

---

& apparently i'm not done bitching, because i also need to say this:
when you take a stand about something because you believe in it- that's principle.
when you take a stand about something because of your feelings on the matter, and then allow those feelings (and therefore your stand) to be altered because of a change in the situation-
that's being selfish.

---

so yeah. fuck you, one way or another ;)

While I don't know what specifically you're talking about here-

It would seem that refusing to allow a change in the situation to alter your feelings based on the fact that you have "already taken a stance" is somewhat akin to sticking your head in the sand.

Re: Hmmmm

i'll agree with that.

however, regardless of how it may look from an objective standpoint, there is a difference between having principles and being stubborn-

somehow i'd still respect this person more if they retained their original stance, rather than saying "oh, i've changed my mind- now that there's something else around to occupy my attention".

so i guess what i mean here is that if you're going to take a stand in the first place, make sure you're doing it for the right reason- because you're right, enforcing principles without thought *does* amount to bullheadedness.
